Denmark's Radio 'Julekalendar'
For the release of their annual 'Julekalendar' (Christmas Calendar) Denmark's Radio wanted to create a fun christmas narrative with traditional Danish folk characters. Together they carry a calendar in the mail as they travel from winter wonderland to 'Christmas Island'. The only catch, all of the characters in this piece were part of a rigid diorama - we photographed what we could, but had to rebuild most of the characters from scratch. The result was a quirky stop motion/digital hybrid animation with a fun sense of nostalgia for kids and adults alike.
